UCF History Education Internship Spring 2025

 Hello Blog!      I am back again for Week 8 of my internship! Things have been going well and running smoothly and I have finished my work for the week. This week I also do not have much to share. Monday I finished up the remainder of the work I did not finish from the previous week (such as the gameshow template) and shared them with my supervisor. I also continued to play around with Canva a little more, and I have gotten more comfortable with it now. I do still struggle to use it sometimes, and it can be really difficult.     Wednesday, I shadowed the Civics Tour to help me tie things into my project and identify what content is important so I can utilize it for my own work. Nothing much happened on Wednesday, as next week is when I begin to put things together more formally and make a well-developed lesson plan.  Hello Blog!     We are back with another week of my internship. I have finished my work for this week, although it was a very short one. Unfortunately, I do not have much to share because of that. I did get the day off on Monday, as it was Presidents Day and I was given the option to either go in or stay home. Due to midterms, I picked the option of saying home to study and focus on them. I did begin to play around with Canva on my own, which I need to use for my project and I do not have much experience with it.      Wednesday, I did the bulk of my work for the week, although I did leave early due to midterms. I used Canva to develop examples to be used in the lesson plans I am developing. For example, a poster gallery walk. I made a few examples of them to be shared with the teachers and students that may use them. Another idea I had that I am developing for a lesson plan was a gameshow.  Good Afternoon!     Hello Blog! I am writing this on a beautiful Thursday Afternoon, and I have finished my internship work for the week. Not much happened this week, and it was slow compared to others, but it did get some work done. Monday I got sent home early as I was feeling quite sick, so I did not do much that day. I did finish up one of my rough drafts before leaving though. I also made sure to share to my work with my supervisor so the next time I came in there would feedback that I could work off of.      Wednesday, I left early, but I did begin working more in depth with the feedback I was given. Out the 8 or so rough drafts I had been working on, I want to work on maybe 2 or 3 in more depth. I began working on my first one and writing out the specifics and reorganizing everything.  Good Afternoon Blog!     I had a very successful Week 5 of my internship! It was very fun and I got a lot done. This week, I developed more upon ideas I had come up with in the previous weeks and started to get the lesson plans more organized and formally written. I had to leave early both days, so I did not do as much as I had hoped, but my supervisor seemed pleased with what I had done. Monday is where I continued working on activity rough drafts in my activity rough draft sheet. I came up with a few more ideas that I want to utilize for my lesson plans and project! I also revisited past ideas and revised those and thought them out a little more.      Wednesday (today) I put those rough ideas into separate sheet so I can better organize them. I only wrote out a few lesson plans more formally, focusing on them one at a time. This way I was able to think through them, get them down into more formal writing that would sent to schools, organize the direction...
