Week 7!

 Hello Blog!

    We are back with another week of my internship. I have finished my work for this week, although it was a very short one. Unfortunately, I do not have much to share because of that. I did get the day off on Monday, as it was Presidents Day and I was given the option to either go in or stay home. Due to midterms, I picked the option of saying home to study and focus on them. I did begin to play around with Canva on my own, which I need to use for my project and I do not have much experience with it. 

    Wednesday, I did the bulk of my work for the week, although I did leave early due to midterms. I used Canva to develop examples to be used in the lesson plans I am developing. For example, a poster gallery walk. I made a few examples of them to be shared with the teachers and students that may use them. Another idea I had that I am developing for a lesson plan was a gameshow. For the remainder of my time in the office I developed that. It was very difficult, as Canva was hard for me to navigate. I also struggled making the format for the gameshow idea. I did find a good template that I want to use, so now I am coming up with questions and the logistics of that. After I finish, the department will (allegedly) play the game I created to see if it would work, and I will revise my lesson plans to be more fancy.

    Overall, it was a slow week. I feel like I did not get much done, which stresses me out a little, but I will make sure to put in a lot more for the next week. Every week, I get more and more work, and it gets more and more tedious. I am excited for the final result though!

Week 2 Post!

 Hello!!!!      This was my first week at the office! It was a really cool but slightly overwhelming experience. I went over what I would be specifically working on and got to see the history center. Monday, my first day, I met the team and shadowed a field trip. Afterwards, I gave feedback and talked with my supervisor on what project she wants me to work on. I think I would a great for it and I am excited to jump right in! Today (Wednesday the 15th), I went over the CPALMS standards in more depth and reviewed current history education programs (K-5) and the civics programs (6-8 and 9-12). I also got my Orange County ID badge!      Overall, this week was very chill. I am enjoying what I am doing and I cannot wait to get started on my project. Week 1 Introductory Assignment

 Good Afternoon Reader! My name is Sabrina Aran and I am a current sophomore here at UCF. I am currently taking Legal Studies, History, and Political Science courses at the university. Week 6

 Good Afternoon!     Hello Blog! I am writing this on a beautiful Thursday Afternoon, and I have finished my internship work for the week. Not much happened this week, and it was slow compared to others, but it did get some work done. Monday I got sent home early as I was feeling quite sick, so I did not do much that day. I did finish up one of my rough drafts before leaving though. I also made sure to share to my work with my supervisor so the next time I came in there would feedback that I could work off of.      Wednesday, I left early, but I did begin working more in depth with the feedback I was given. Out the 8 or so rough drafts I had been working on, I want to work on maybe 2 or 3 in more depth. I began working on my first one and writing out the specifics and reorganizing everything.
