Week 12

Blog I Am Back!

    We are back for Week 12 of my internship. Unfortunately, I got sick during Week 10 and was unable to go to my internship, and Week 11 was Spring Break, so I also was not in town to go to the office as well. So for those two weeks, I was not there. Also during the break my friend ended up getting a flat tire and we got stuck in middle of nowhere Texas, so I unfortunately had to call out for this week Monday as well. A series of unfortunate events some would probably say. 

    I did make it back in town Monday in the morning exhausted and tired, so it became my rest day before I focused on school and my internship. Wednesday, I returned to the office and got a lot done! I was able to finally send in my rough draft of the formalized lesson plan I finished before I got sick and before the break, and work on my other formalized lesson plan. I ended up finishing that one as well and began my next task. I wrote out more that goes with the lesson plan, such as background information related to one of the lesson plans that will be sent with it as a package when used by schools. It was fun work that allowed me to refresh my memory on certain concepts. I finished up the rough draft for that as well and plan to revise and edit it next week. I will also write the background information for my second lesson plan next week as well. 

    Overall, my Wednesday was busy and productive getting stuff done to catch up. I do not really plan to take days off unless for emergencies, especially since it is nearing the end of my time in the office. I really do enjoy the work and going into the office in the mornings. It became a big part of my morning routine and I am excited for feedback on my work so I can revise it better.

Week 2 Post!

 Hello!!!!      This was my first week at the office! It was a really cool but slightly overwhelming experience. I went over what I would be specifically working on and got to see the history center. Monday, my first day, I met the team and shadowed a field trip. Afterwards, I gave feedback and talked with my supervisor on what project she wants me to work on. I think I would a great for it and I am excited to jump right in! Today (Wednesday the 15th), I went over the CPALMS standards in more depth and reviewed current history education programs (K-5) and the civics programs (6-8 and 9-12). I also got my Orange County ID badge!      Overall, this week was very chill. I am enjoying what I am doing and I cannot wait to get started on my project. Week 1 Introductory Assignment

 Good Afternoon Reader! My name is Sabrina Aran and I am a current sophomore here at UCF. I am currently taking Legal Studies, History, and Political Science courses at the university. Week 6

 Good Afternoon!     Hello Blog! I am writing this on a beautiful Thursday Afternoon, and I have finished my internship work for the week. Not much happened this week, and it was slow compared to others, but it did get some work done. Monday I got sent home early as I was feeling quite sick, so I did not do much that day. I did finish up one of my rough drafts before leaving though. I also made sure to share to my work with my supervisor so the next time I came in there would feedback that I could work off of.      Wednesday, I left early, but I did begin working more in depth with the feedback I was given. Out the 8 or so rough drafts I had been working on, I want to work on maybe 2 or 3 in more depth. I began working on my first one and writing out the specifics and reorganizing everything.
