Week 13

 Welcome to Another Week!

    Hi Blog! We are back again for Week 13 of my internship! I can't believe how much time has passed, and I am nearing the final days in the office. This was a very busy week for me, as I am nearing the end of my project and finalizing my lesson plans, so I had to do. This week I finished up the rough drafts of my background information for the lesson plans and awaited feedback on what I needed to fix. So Monday was finished up any work I left over from the previous week. 

    Today (Wednesday), I took the feedback I got from the work I did on Monday and began my revisions. It was really fun doing this, I loved writing these background. They were great refreshers for information I did know but maybe forgot and got to brush up on. It was also a great way to work on my writing and editing skills. Today was overall very busy and productive, and the week in general was as well. Now that I have everything finished, I am awaiting more feedback so I can revise some more and send out my final draft of the project. 

    Overall, the work has been so fun and rewarding. I look forward to going into the office and finishing up my project. Looking back, it has come a long way. From starting out and writing some ideas and formulating a plan to writing a rough draft to putting that rough draft into a more formal lesson plan, and now putting everything I have been working on together, its so cool to reflect on how far this project has come. I am excited to have it completed and finished and see my hard work in action!

Week 2 Post!

 Hello!!!!      This was my first week at the office! It was a really cool but slightly overwhelming experience. I went over what I would be specifically working on and got to see the history center. Monday, my first day, I met the team and shadowed a field trip. Afterwards, I gave feedback and talked with my supervisor on what project she wants me to work on. I think I would a great for it and I am excited to jump right in! Today (Wednesday the 15th), I went over the CPALMS standards in more depth and reviewed current history education programs (K-5) and the civics programs (6-8 and 9-12). I also got my Orange County ID badge!      Overall, this week was very chill. I am enjoying what I am doing and I cannot wait to get started on my project. Week 1 Introductory Assignment

 Good Afternoon Reader! My name is Sabrina Aran and I am a current sophomore here at UCF. I am currently taking Legal Studies, History, and Political Science courses at the university. On Monday, I will begin my History Education Internship and I am very excited. I hope to learn more about history education and making lesson plans. Week 6

 Good Afternoon!     Hello Blog! I am writing this on a beautiful Thursday Afternoon, and I have finished my internship work for the week. Not much happened this week, and it was slow compared to others, but it did get some work done. Monday I got sent home early as I was feeling quite sick, so I did not do much that day. I did finish up one of my rough drafts before leaving though. I also made sure to share to my work with my supervisor so the next time I came in there would feedback that I could work off of.      Wednesday, I left early, but I did begin working more in depth with the feedback I was given. Out the 8 or so rough drafts I had been working on, I want to work on maybe 2 or 3 in more depth. I began working on my first one and writing out the specifics and reorganizing everything.
