Week 15

 Hello Again Blog!     We are back for one last time! This week was my final week in the office, and Wednesday April 16th was my official last day working with the Orange Country Regional History Center. This week was very chill compared to the other weeks I've had, as it was mostly just saving all my work to an accessible folder for my supervisor to use and tying up any loose ends. It was a lot of reviewing my past work and just making sure everything looked good for my supervisor to put together and send out to the schools for the students.     It was a very sad week. Going to the internship became such a big part of my daily and weekly routine, that it feels weird that I am done and don't have to go back. I felt a little sad leaving the office for the last time, looking at my desk where I did my work and the office full of people going about their day. I will miss working there, and it was fun. Week 14

 Hello Everyone!     We are back for Week 14 of my internship at the Orange County Regional History Center. This week was very chill, and I don't really have much to speak of, and it was very similar to the previous week. I can't believe that next week is my last week and I only have two more days! The time has passed so quickly, and I am so close to completing my project it's so crazy to see how far I have come. This week, I worked more on those reading packets for the lesson plans, and used the feedback I got to develop them further.      Monday, I started going a lot more in depth with the reading packets. For example, with a reading packet on the Supreme Court, I went more in depth with what the Supreme Court is, the structure of it, and the cases I thought were most important. I also added more cases to that section, as I only had 3 previously, and am now up tp about 6-7. I also finished up my Independent Regulatory Agency packet and revised it once I ...

Week 13

 Welcome to Another Week!     Hi Blog! We are back again for Week 13 of my internship! I can't believe how much time has passed, and I am nearing the final days in the office. This was a very busy week for me, as I am nearing the end of my project and finalizing my lesson plans, so I had to do. This week I finished up the rough drafts of my background information for the lesson plans and awaited feedback on what I needed to fix. So Monday was finished up any work I left over from the previous week.      Today (Wednesday), I took the feedback I got from the work I did on Monday and began my revisions. It was really fun doing this, I loved writing these background. They were great refreshers for information I did know but maybe forgot and got to brush up on. It was also a great way to work on my writing and editing skills. Today was overall very busy and productive, and the week in general was as well. Week 12

Blog I Am Back!     We are back for Week 12 of my internship. Unfortunately, I got sick during Week 10 and was unable to go to my internship, and Week 11 was Spring Break, so I also was not in town to go to the office as well. So for those two weeks, I was not there. Also during the break my friend ended up getting a flat tire and we got stuck in middle of nowhere Texas, so I unfortunately had to call out for this week Monday as well. A series of unfortunate events some would probably say.      I did make it back in town Monday in the morning exhausted and tired, so it became my rest day before I focused on school and my internship. Wednesday, I returned to the office and got a lot done! I was able to finally send in my rough draft of the formalized lesson plan I finished before I got sick and before the break, and work on my other formalized lesson plan. Week 9

 Hello Blog!     We are back for Week 9 of my Internship! This week I did not do much, so I do not have much to talk about. I have begun writing the formal and final parts of my project. I am using all the information and work I have done so far, and finally putting everything together. Monday, I had the day off and used this opportunity to catch up on my school work. During that day, I reviewed notes I had previously taken that would help me with my actual final project. So not much was done that day in regard to my internship work.      On Wednesday (today), I finally began to write out my lesson plan. It took some research to see how to format things which took some time. I completed a rough draft for one of my activities that I will send to my supervisor for feedback. Week 8

 Hello Blog!      I am back again for Week 8 of my internship! Things have been going well and running smoothly and I have finished my work for the week. This week I also do not have much to share. Monday I finished up the remainder of the work I did not finish from the previous week (such as the gameshow template) and shared them with my supervisor. I also continued to play around with Canva a little more, and I have gotten more comfortable with it now. I do still struggle to use it sometimes, and it can be really difficult.     Wednesday, I shadowed the Civics Tour to help me tie things into my project and identify what content is important so I can utilize it for my own work. Nothing much happened on Wednesday, as next week is when I begin to put things together more formally and make a well-developed lesson plan. Week 7!

 Hello Blog!     We are back with another week of my internship. I have finished my work for this week, although it was a very short one. Unfortunately, I do not have much to share because of that. I did get the day off on Monday, as it was Presidents Day and I was given the option to either go in or stay home. Due to midterms, I picked the option of saying home to study and focus on them. I did begin to play around with Canva on my own, which I need to use for my project and I do not have much experience with it.      Wednesday, I did the bulk of my work for the week, although I did leave early due to midterms. I used Canva to develop examples to be used in the lesson plans I am developing. For example, a poster gallery walk.
